Why Joshua Tree is the perfect retreat destination for creative teams

High desert, big sky, and a strange beauty that makes people think differently. An hour from Palm Springs, a world away.

The feeling
Open, surreal, creative

Joshua Tree does not look like anywhere else. Twisted trees, boulder piles, a sky that goes on forever. It is the kind of place that makes people a little more curious than they were the day before.

For a creative team, that is gold.

Why it works for teams

The desert strips things back. There is less to look at, so people look more closely, at the landscape and at each other. Ideas that would get lost in a busy city have room to grow out here.

And at night, the stars. Joshua Tree is a dark sky park. A team lying on blankets, looking up, is a bonding moment no workshop can match.

How we use it

This is where our Intuition Art and Brand Archetypes sessions shine. We hold a sunrise breathwork on the rocks, a sound bath in the desert (the high desert is famous for them), and a long dinner under the open sky.

Good to know

Summer days are seriously hot, so we plan desert retreats from October to April. Distances between homes and venues add up, so we always plan transport in advance. Sound and light carry far out here, which makes for beautiful evenings and respectful neighbors.

Joshua Tree reminds people that the most interesting ideas come from places that do not look like the office.
