Why Indian Wells
Desert light, easy logistics.
Indian Wells sits under the Santa Rosa Mountains in the middle of the Coachella Valley. Winter days are warm and clear, and the airport is twenty minutes away.
The resorts here were built for groups. Ballrooms, event lawns and hundreds of rooms make big meetings simple, and the mountains turn pink at sunset every night.
For a smaller team, Sensei Porcupine Creek in nearby Rancho Mirage can be bought out whole. It is a private 230-acre estate with wellness built into the day.
We bring teams to Indian Wells when they want sun, ease and room to think, from November to April.

Questions
Planning a retreat in Indian Wells.
How far is Indian Wells from Los Angeles and the Bay Area?
Indian Wells is about 2 to 2.5 hours by car from Los Angeles, depending on traffic. From San Francisco it is about a 1.5 hour flight to Palm Springs, then 20 minutes by car.
When is the best time for a retreat in Indian Wells?
October through May. Summer highs often pass 105 degrees, so most groups avoid June to September. Rates and crowds peak in March during the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament.
What size groups fit in Indian Wells?
The Grand Hyatt and Renaissance Esmeralda each have more than 500 rooms and can host several hundred people. Tommy Bahama Miramonte suits mid-size groups, and Sensei Porcupine Creek fits a small leadership team as a full buyout.
What can a team do in Indian Wells?
Hike in Joshua Tree or the Santa Rosa foothills, play golf or tennis, ride at a valley ranch, and eat dinner outside under the mountains. The desert is also a natural setting for breathwork and sound baths.
Who plans and runs the retreat?
The Renewal Office designs it around your goals using the TRO Six Pillars, then handles venue, programming, facilitators and production from the first call to the week after.
