Why now

Teams changed. Offsites didn’t.

  1. The shift

    AI.
    Remote work.
    The pace.

Teams are moving faster, further apart, with less time to think together.

  2. The old playbook

    The ballroom.
    The lanyard.

They don’t have any lasting impact. Familiar, forgettable, and nobody’s favorite day.

  3. The answer

    Slow down.
    Rest.
    Design what comes next.

    That’s the retreat we build.

What we do

We design the experience. You show up.

Case study

A design studio's company retreat in the desert, two years running.

“The programming put us on a different playing field, and we saw the vision for what comes next, together. We couldn’t have done this on our own.”

Why Tro · The Tro difference

Most retreats change the scenery. We change what happens inside the team.

A DMC hands you an itinerary and sells you on “experience” and “branding.” We build retreats that move teams forward. Not branded moments that fade by Monday, real change your team carries home.

The whole point

The more digital the world gets, the more a gathering of people becomes the whole point.

Most planners book the trip with an agenda. The Renewal Office designs what changes, around your goals.

What does The Renewal Office plan?

Corporate team retreats, executive offsites and recognition trips, from the first call to the follow-up. You choose the place and bring your strategy, programming and agenda. We design the retreat around it, weave in the group inner-work sessions, book the facilitators and run it all on site, so all your team has to do is show up.

How far ahead should we start?

Three to six months out gives you the best places and dates, especially for buyouts and peak seasons. We can turn around a focused offsite in about six weeks when timing is tight.

How big a group do you work with?

Teams of 3 to 100. An executive team of four in a private buyout home, a company retreat of forty at a full-service resort, or a recognition trip for a sales team.

Where do you plan retreats?

Sixty places across California, the West, the South, the Northeast and Mexico. Home base is Palm Springs and the San Francisco Bay Area, with Ojai, Big Sur, Napa and Joshua Tree among the favorites.

The case for gathering

Engagement is at a five-year low. Connection is the fix.

0

A purposeful offsite lifts how connected people feel by 27% and sparks 24% more cross-team collaboration. The effect lasts about four months, which is why we design for what happens after: the inner work your team does together is what keeps them moving as one long after the flight home.
