Why Hood River
Wind, water and a mountain.
Hood River sits where the Columbia River cuts through the Cascades. The wind that made it a kiteboarding capital also clears the air, and Mount Hood fills the view to the south.
The valley behind town is all orchards and farm stands along the Fruit Loop. In late summer and fall, the harvest gives every meal a story.
Stays range from a 1920s cliffside hotel beside a waterfall to a big lodge with ziplines and treehouses across the river. It is easy to mix focused work with time outside.
We bring teams to Hood River when they want energy and wide-open views, an hour from Portland.
