Why Hudson Valley
Close enough to drive, far enough to think.
The Hudson Valley gives a New York team real distance without a flight. Leave Manhattan after breakfast and you are walking a carriage road by lunch.
The land does a lot of the work. Cliffs along the Shawangunk Ridge, orchards, working farms and the wide river slow people down and make room for honest conversation.
The stays fit almost any brief. A Victorian lake resort for a full company, cabins on a farm for a leadership team, or a whole riverfront property to yourselves.
We bring teams to the Hudson Valley when they need a reset that feels far away but costs half a day of travel.

Questions
Planning a retreat in Hudson Valley.
How far is the Hudson Valley from New York City?
Most of the properties we use are about 1.5 to 2 hours by car from Manhattan. New York Stewart (SWF) is the closest airport for most of them, and Newark works for teams flying in from farther away.
When is the best time for a retreat in the Hudson Valley?
May through October. Late spring is green and quiet, summer is long and warm, and early October brings peak fall color, so book that window early.
What size groups fit in the Hudson Valley?
Almost any size. Troutbeck and The Ranch suit groups up to about 60 with exclusive use, Hutton Brickyards handles events up to 150, and Mohonk Mountain House takes large company gatherings.
What can a team do in the Hudson Valley?
Hike the carriage roads at Mohonk, climb in the Gunks with a guide, tour farms and orchards, cook with local chefs, and visit Storm King Art Center or Dia Beacon. We pair each activity with focused working sessions.
Who plans and runs the retreat?
The Renewal Office designs it around your goals using the TRO Six Pillars, then handles venue, programming, facilitators and production from the first call to the week after.
