Why Kohler
A village made for doing things well.
Kohler is a small planned village an hour north of Milwaukee, built by the Kohler family around gardens, craftsmanship and the 1918 boarding house for immigrant workers that is now The American Club.
Everything is close. Spa, championship golf at Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits, a 500-acre nature preserve at River Wildlife and Lake Michigan dunes are all within a short drive.
May through October is the easiest season, with golf, gardens and the lakeshore open. In winter the village gets cold and snowy, but the spa and indoor program carry a strong wellness retreat.
We bring teams to Kohler when they want a refined, all-in-one setting with excellent service and a real focus on rest.

Questions
Planning a retreat in Kohler.
How far is Kohler from Chicago and Milwaukee?
About 2.5 to 3 hours by car from Chicago and about 1 hour from Milwaukee. Flying guests land at Milwaukee (MKE), a little over an hour away.
When is the best time for a retreat in Kohler?
May through October for golf, gardens and the Lake Michigan shore, with August the busiest and priciest month. The American Club and spa run year-round, so a winter wellness retreat works well if the program is mostly indoors.
What size groups fit in Kohler?
Groups from about 20 to 250 fit The American Club and Inn on Woodlake, and The Osthoff and Blue Harbor nearby can add space for larger meetings.
What can a team do in Kohler?
Spend time at Kohler Waters Spa, shoot trap at River Wildlife, walk the dunes at Kohler-Andrae State Park, play Blackwolf Run or Whistling Straits and cook together at the Osthoff's cooking school.
Who plans and runs the retreat?
The Renewal Office designs it around your goals using the TRO Six Pillars, then handles venue, programming, facilitators and production from the first call to the week after.
